Adding extra locks can be a great way to up your security without the large cost of replacing whole doors or windows.

ADDITIONAL MORTICE BOLTS

Fitting Mortice Bolts to your front and back doors is a great way to enhance the security of your home. Mortice Bolts are very similar to Mortice Locks, where Mortice Locks have a latch Mortice Bolts have a bolt instead. These bolts are heavily reinforced as they are on the inside of the door and cannot be removed easily when the door is closed. Mortice Bolts are locked with a key. We advise that you fit two of these bolts to each door, one at the top and one at the bottom to maximise your doors security.

ADDING DOOR CHAINS

Door chains are a very popular choice among property owners. These chains allow the person inside the property to open the door but only a small amount. This gives the person enough space to see and speak to whoever is outside without giving them the opportunity to just walk inside. These chains can be taken on or off at any time but only by the person inside the property. These chains come in a variety of finishes and fitments to make sure you can get the right one for you needs and taste.

ADDITIONAL WINDOW LOCKS

Adding window locks is a great way of adding security to your property. They are cost effective and can be fitted to all styles of windows. With this style of security you must make sure you use the keys to lock them them, once locked remove the keys and store them in a safe place, this will ensure your locks will be as effective as possible.

ADDING UPVC DOOR LOCKS

UPVC Door locks are great as they are already a multi-point locking system. But these do vary a lot in the amount of security they give your property. If your multi-point locking system is not up to standard and you wanted a cheaper alternative to replacing the whole multi-point locking system, we can fit you extra security bolts that are fitted to the inside of the door.

ADDING UPVC WINDOW LOCKS

If you have UPVC windows you can choose to either upgrade your handles or add extra bolt locks to the inside for extra security. Both ways will add that extra peace of mind knowing you've made them secure as they can be.

ADDING LOCKS TO GARAGES OR SHEDS

Lots of properties have garages, sheds or outhouses, but most people never think about the amount of security that they have on them. It is extremely important to make sure these are as secure as they can be, as generally these are home to a lot of our property. Whether that be cars, bikes, gardening tools, power tools, these are all easy money makers in thieve's eyes. Sometimes garage doors can even be another entry into the main property. Making sure these things stay as safe as possible and your home is as secure as it can be from all entry points we advise adding as much security that is needed to each of these. There are many different types of locks you can use for different types of needs, so give The Lock Guys a call to discuss what we would recommend to ensure you, your property and everything inside stays safe.
